Causes of rheumatoid
arthritis
Causes of rheumatoid
arthritis can be due to many things but for the time
being the exact cause is yet to be known. With this condition,
the body’s own immune system is the one that is attacking the
joints and the body’s own tissue. It is said that this is the
most painful form of arthritis there is and can be a crippling
disease. It can cause the joints to be misshapen and disfigured
in its advanced and severe stage. This disease is categorized
as a chronic disease since this disease has a slow progression
and could be a burden to a patient for many years. Rheumatoid
arthritis is also considered as an auto immune disease but
would have times of long period of remissions. Although it can
have a remission period the symptoms can appear back in just an
instant, especially if the patient is not taking proper health
measures.
Causes of rheumatoid
arthritis
Bacteria,
fungi and viruses have been said to be one of the probable
causes of rheumatoid arthritis but there is
still not enough evidence to support this medical theory. A lot
of medical assumptions and theories were made like it has
something to do with genetics and even some factors in the
environment could cause rheumatoid arthritis but all these are
still just “big maybes”. Rheumatoid arthritis can be very
dangerous especially if not diagnosed and treated early
because, aside from attacking the joints it can also attack the
other organs of the body. Early diagnosis is a critical factor
in successfully treating the symptoms of rheumatoid
arthritis.
In the
studies that have been made in trying to find the
causes of rheumatoid arthritis, studies have
found out that although some factors like food, stress and the
environment doesn’t cause rheumatoid arthritis directly, but
these factors can trigger the body’s response that would cause
the immune system to viciously attack its own body organs and
joints.

Food
allergies are common in most people and the most common foods
that people are allergic to are milk and dairy products. So
it’s recommended that a rheumatoid patient get its calcium
needs from other sources like the salmon, herring and sardines.
Other calcium rich foods aide from milk and dairy are almonds,
Brazil nuts, flax seeds, sesame seeds and tofu. Some vegetables
like mustard, turnip, dandelion greens and collards are rich in
calcium. Calcium is very plays an important role in delaying
the progress and in treating the symptoms of rheumatoid
arthritis since this will strengthen the bones and would help
in preventing bone damage.
Stress can
also cause a body’s response that that could trigger the
symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. So it would be best to
maintain a healthy disposition and positive outlook in life.
Ensure that your body will get sufficient rest to prevent
stress from happening. This disease may be chronic and could
last for years, but there is still hope for the rheumatoid
patients since the symptoms of inflammation of the joints and
the pain that comes with it, is already
manageable.
